Vermont Independent Contractor Agreement

Updated February 21, 2022

A Vermont Independent Contractor Agreement is a document used to outline the conditions of an agreement between a client and a contractor. The two parties will use the contract to avoid miscommunication and to eliminate any potential legal complications due to assumptions made by either the client or contractor. In an independent contractor agreement, terms will be relayed which establish the amount charged by the contractor, the due date of the services, the frequency of payment, and the responsibilities and rights of both parties. Once the contractor and the client have agreed upon the terms detailed in the agreement, they will sign and date the form on the final page placing the contract into effect.
