Utah Subcontractor Agreement

Updated April 26, 2023

A Utah subcontractor agreement is a legal document that defines the rights and responsibilities of a subcontractor hired to provide goods and services required to assist a contractor in an existing project. The subcontractor will negotiate with the principal contractor, or with the owner if the individual is an owner-builder. The hiring party will detail within the legal agreement the manner in which the hired party will be compensated for their services, the materials/labor/equipment required, the commencement and completion dates, and all other provisions necessary to adequately prepare and inform the subcontractor.
