A New York notice to enter is used by a landlord when needing to gain access to a unit or units of their rental property. New York state law does not require notices or notice periods, but it is general practice that a landlord provides reasonable notice to the tenant of their intent to enter based on the specific reason for entry.
Laws – No specific law but “reasonable notice” is required under the Residential Tenants’ Rights Guide (page 54).
