Louisiana Voter Registration Form – Register to Vote in LA

A Louisiana voter registration form permits eligible Louisiana residents to vote in any upcoming election. These forms must be completed and submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to any election. Voters have the option of registering online through the Louisiana Secretary of State’s web portal but must complete this process twenty (20) days prior to any election in order to cast a vote. Registration in Louisiana requires a Social Security number and voting requires one (1) piece of identification to be presented at the polling station. Voters without valid identification can still vote but must sign an affidavit. All individuals must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to register in the State of Louisiana.

Where to Send Voter Registration Form – All forms can be mailed or hand-delivered to the registrant’s local Registrar of Voters Office.

Voter ID (§ 18:101.1) – Registered voters must present a valid Louisiana driver’s license, Louisiana ID card, or other photo ID card with their name and signature. Voters without such identification can still vote but they must sign an affidavit subject to challenge by the Louisiana Secretary of State.
