Maine Voter Registration Form – Register to Vote in ME

The Maine voter registration form may be completed by any state resident on or before election day to enable them to vote in a county, state, or federal election. It should be noted that individuals wishing to register must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. The deadline to submit your registration by mail is twenty-one (21) days before the next election day. You also have the option of registering in person at your polling station on election day. If you do this, you will be required to show a valid state-issued photo ID card.

Voter ID (§111, §671) – ID is not required unless the voter is registering on election day or they’re a new Maine voter, in which case they must present a photo ID (driver’s license or other state-issued ID) and proof of residence.

How to Write

Step 1 – Download the Voter Registration Form in Adobe PDF.

Step 2 – Use the checkboxes to indicate whether you are a US citizen and whether you will be at least 18 years of age on election day. Next, select your party affiliation from the given options.

Step 3 – You will be asked to provide your full name, date of birth, current residence address, current mailing address (if different from residence), previous registration details (if applicable), and phone number.

Step 4 – If you have changed your name, you will need to provide your previous complete legal name. Next, provide your handwritten signature, the date, and your voter ID number (driver’s license, State ID, or last four digits of SSN).
