An Alabama seven (7) day notice to quit allows a landlord to submit notice that rent is late to a tenant. If payment is not made within the 7-day period, the lessee will be required to either leave the property or face an eviction filing against them (known as an “Unlawful Detainer”).

In Alabama, rent is due on the day stated in the rental agreement. (Ala.Code 1975 § 35-9A-161). Therefore, if rent is not paid on the due date it shall be considered late and this 7-day notice can be sent.

How to Write

Step 1 – Fill-in by entering:

Step 2 – After the letter has been printed it should be either given to the tenant personally, slipped under the door, or sent via certified mail.
