A South Carolina buyer agency agreement is a document that relays the terms to which a real estate agent and a buyer agree to adhere. The agent will represent the buyer by seeking to find a property for sale that meets the buyer’s specifications. If the buyer purchases a property through the agent, the agent will receive a commission or other compensation. The agent may also charge a retainer fee as a part of the agreement. In accordance with the agreement, the agent is required to work in the buyer’s best interests and negotiate the best possible deal.
