Texas Buyer Agency Agreement

Updated August 02, 2023

A Texas buyer agency agreement is a contract between a real estate agent and a home buyer which outlines the agent’s responsibilities, services, and required compensation. Although these agreements are usually exclusive, they can also be non-exclusive which allows the client to seek additional representation. If a property is purchased during the course of the contract, the agent will receive a commission which is usually a percentage of the purchase price but may also be a set fee instead. Once both parties have signed the document, they will be bound to the contract until the contract is fulfilled or upon its termination date.
