A Tennessee rental application is a form used by landlords to gather information about prospective tenants seeking to rent a property. The landlord will mainly use the application to run a credit report and view and registered debts of the applicant. If approved for a lease, the tenant will be issued a lease to sign.

- Application Fee – Application fees are non-refundable and there is no maximum mentioned in state law (no statute).
- Security Deposit – There is no maximum amount for a security deposit mentioned in state statutes (§ 66-28-301).
