Registering a Boat

Any boat (motorized and non-motorized) operating in the District of Colombia for more than 50 days must be registered with the D.C. Harbor Patrol of the Metropolitan Police Department. Registrations are valid for one year.

Where to Register

All documents listed below should be presented to the Boat Registration Office (550 Water Street, SW, Washington D.C. 20024) between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
