Washington Voter Registration Form – Register to Vote in WA

A Washington voter registration form is a document that Washington residents may use to register for upcoming elections, or if previously registered, to alter their recorded voter information (i.e. change name or address). A qualified applicant is one that resides in Washington and is a citizen of the United States of America. Furthermore, a Washington driver’s license, permit, or ID card is required to vote. If none of the accepted documents are available, a SSN can be used as a valid form of identification.

Deadline – The Monday four (4) weeks prior to election day (if submitting by mail or online). In-person registration forms must be delivered on the Monday one (1) week before the election. Those serving in the military or living overseas may submit their forms up to and including the date of the election.

Where to Send Voter Registration Form – Department of Licensing, County Elections Department, or the Secretary of State.

Voter ID (§29A.40.160(7)(a)) – In order to vote, you must show either a driver’s license, state ID card, student card, tribal card, or employer identification card. If you haven’t any of the approved IDs, you may sign a provisional ballot on which your signature must match that of the one provided on your registration form.
