A landlord adverse action notice is sent to an applicant who applied for housing but was rejected. The landlord will most commonly reject applicants due to bad credit or findings on a background check. The landlord must detail the reason for rejection and list the contact to the consumer agency that produced the report. The applicant will have 60 days to obtain a free copy of the consumer report.
