Delaware Independent Contractor Agreement

Updated February 14, 2022

A Delaware independent contractor agreement is used to create a working arrangement between a client (an individual or business) and a contractor offering a service. The agreement sets forth the client’s requirements including the responsibilities the individual must fulfill to achieve monetary compensation and the date by which such duties must be completed. Outlining the client-contractor relationship in a written agreement serves not only as proof of the contractual obligations taken on by the individual but also of the fact that the hired party is indeed an independent contractor whose salary shall not be deducted by the client for tax purposes.
