Kansas Subcontractor Agreement

Updated August 28, 2023

The Kansas subcontractor agreement is used to set forth terms and conditions for an exchange of services rendered for financial compensation. A contractor presents such an agreement to a subcontractor proposing that they complete a job on a particular project that requires their specialized skills (construction, engineering, technology, or other trade). The subcontractor should look through the contract to see if the terms are fair and reasonable. Terms and conditions included in the agreement include the start and end date of the job, financial compensation and payment method, responsibilities, and penalties for not adhering to the agreement. If the subcontractor believes the work and compensation to be reasonable, they can sign the agreement and both parties are legally bound thereto.
