A Kentucky subcontractor agreement allows a subcontractor and contractor to establish conditions which determine the subcontractor’s pay, duties, liabilities, and other aspects of the contractual relationship. Drafting the agreement ensures that the subcontractor fully understands the scope of their work and the legal ramifications applicable should they fail to satisfy their obligations. Either party may incorporate provisions to protect themselves against the improper disclosure of confidential information, wrongful contract termination, and other similar disputes.
“Subcontractor” Definition
“”Subcontractor” means any person, including a corporation, partnership, or business association of any kind, who holds an agreement or purchase order to perform all or any part of the work or to make or furnish any article or service required for the performance of a negotiated contract or of a subcontract entered thereunder.”
