A Maine subcontractor agreement is a legal document that establishes operating conditions for a hired subcontractor working under a primary contractor. The agreement is responsible for ensuring that both the contractor and subcontractor are informed of, and have consented to, the subcontractor’s responsibilities as well as the financial compensation and completion date. Additionally, the agreement offers provisions applicable to dispute resolution, wrongful disclosure of confidential information, and severability.
“Subcontractor” Definition
“”Construction subcontractor” means an independent contractor if the construction subcontractor meets the definition of independent contractor in section 102, subsection 13-A.”
