A Minnesota subcontractor agreement is a legal tool used by contractors when hiring a subcontractor to complete part of a previously negotiated work project. The agreement binds the subcontractor to the terms and conditions laid out by the primary contractor. These conditions include payment information, the required completion date, insurance coverage, and a summary of the subcontractor’s duties. Establishing the operating conditions in such a manner ensures that both parties acknowledge their obligations to one another thus protecting them in the event of a legal dispute.
