A New Jersey subcontractor agreement is a legal agreement that outlines the terms by which a subcontractor agrees to work for a contractor or subcontractor pursuant to a contract with a principal client. In addition to describing the tasks that the subcontractor is expected to complete, the agreement must disclose the rate that they will be paid, any expenses that are covered, the date by which the work must be finished, and when payments will be made. The agreement provides assurances to both parties and if either party fails to uphold the terms of the contract, the other individual will be able to pursue legal action against them.
