Roofing Subcontractor Agreement

Updated December 27, 2022

A roofing subcontractor agreement is used by a general contractor to apportion only the roofing to another individual or company (“subcontractor”) in an effort to complete a larger project. The agreement should describe, in detail, the type of roof to be installed along with the obligations of the roofer. Such obligations will be to outline the party responsible for the roofer’s employees, materials, equipment, travel, and any other liabilities that should be mentioned. Depending on the size of the project, the contractor may elect to pay in installments (every week or month) or at the end when it’s complete.
