A South Carolina subcontractor agreement is a contract that lay out the work agreement between a contractor and a subcontractor. In the document, the contractor must describe the work that the subcontractor is being hired for, the rate that the subcontractor will be paid, when the work must be finished by, and when the subcontractor will be paid. A subcontractor agreement is always between the subcontractor and a party who has been contracted to complete a project for a client, never directly with the client. In some circumstances, it may be a subcontractor who is hiring further subcontractors to work under a contract. “”Subcontractor” means any person who has contracted to furnish labor or materials to, or has performed labor or supplied materials for, a contractor or another subcontractor in connection with a contract to improve real property.”
