Virginia Subcontractor Agreement

Updated April 26, 2023

A Virginia subcontractor agreement is used to detail the relationship between a contractor and a subcontractor. A subcontractor is any individual hired by the principal contractor to supply labor or materials required for the completion of the hiring party’s contract. The subcontractor agreement helps protect the interests of both parties, enabling the definition of agreed-upon provisions such as the manner in which the hired party will be compensated, the work’s due date, and the tasks which they’ve been assigned to complete. Both parties can sign off on the legally binding document once they believe the arrangement is mutually beneficial.
