Wisconsin Buyer Agency Agreement

Updated August 02, 2023

A Wisconsin buyer agency agreement is used by real estate agents to formalize a working agreement between themselves and clients who are looking to buy residential property. The contract relays the terms and conditions of the business relationship to which both parties are bound. In accordance with the agreement, the agent is required to find the client a suitable property and get the best possible price. Likewise, the client must pay the agent a commission if a purchase is made.

Disclosures

Agency Disclosure Form (§ 452-135(2)(a)) – Before drafting an agreement with new clients, agents must provide this disclosure for the client to sign.

Dual Agency (§ 452-135(2)(a)) – Dual agency is only legal if both the seller and buyer provide their written consent.
