A Nebraska notary acknowledgment form is a document that a notary public fills out in order to provide the notarization that certain legal instruments require. This acknowledgment verifies the signer’s identity and desire to sign the legal document into action. Mortgages, property transfers, affidavits, deeds, and power of attorney forms are some examples of documents that require notarization. Some documents will have the notary acknowledgment included in them, otherwise, the signer will need to attach the Nebraska notary acknowledgment form. Once their document has been filled out, the signer will bring it to the notary, along with a valid photo ID, to be notarized.

Verify a Notary in Nebraska
Nebraska does not currently offer online verification of notaries at the state level. Contact information for the Notary Public division is available at the Nebraska Secretary of State’s website.
In addition, some county clerks have the ability to locate records pertaining to notaries and the status of their commissions. Contact the county clerk in the county where the notary you wish to verify was commissioned.

Step 1 – Download the Nebraska Notary Acknowledgment Form in one of the following formats:
Step 2 – Once you have obtained the document, enter the following information into the appropriate spaces:
- Name of county
- The date
- The name of the person whose signature you are acknowledging
Step 3 – Below that, you must provide your signature, your printed name, your title, and your notary seal or stamp where indicated.
