A Georgia single-member LLC operating agreement is a legal document that is designated for use by a sole proprietor so that they may establish company ownership along with any specific procedures and policies.
The state of Georgia does not require that any business residing within the state, implement this document. However, should the member decide against putting the document into place, the member/owner could find that their personal assets would be vulnerable to use for the collection of business expenses in the event of a business failure or any type of litigation. If, in fact, the document is implemented, the owner’s assets would be afforded the protections needed to avoid serious losses. Having this document in place will also provide tax benefits that would only be unavailable without the document.
