A Missouri rental application is a form that is completed by a tenant when being approved for leasing property. The landlord will use the application and its contents to run a search of the tenant and view their past employment and any public records. The tenant will often include past tax returns and pay stubs.
Laws
- Application Fee – There is no statutory limit for application fees in the State (no statute).
- Security Deposit – Landlords can charge a maximum of two (2) months’ rent (§ 535.300).
