A Rhode Island roommate agreement is a contract used among co-tenants of a rental premises to agree upon rules and the financial divisions of housing costs. The agreement provides an outline of the terms and conditions that should work well for all of the roommates living on the premises. Each roommate must review all portions of the document to be certain that they understand when payments are due, who will collect various payments, proper care and responsibilities of the unit, among other rules.
