A Tennessee month-to-month rental agreement, or “tenancy-at-will”, is a rental contract that continues until notice has been given by the landlord or tenant. During the lease, each party must abide by its terms and conditions. If, for example, the tenant does not pay rent the landlord will follow the same eviction process as a standard lease. Therefore, it’s recommended for the landlord to require a rental application to screen the tenant before signing a lease.
