A Hawaii roommate agreement is used by individuals sharing expenses in a living situation to formalize their agreement in writing. In addition, since this is a legal contract, all signature parties may be held accountable in a court of law should there be a breach of contract.
It should be mentioned that while this is a binding contract between roommates (once signed), the landlord or property owner is not bound to such an agreement (unless they are one of the roommates). This would require a separate contract signed with the landlord.
