Interior Design Retainer Agreement

Updated April 13, 2022

An interior design retainer agreement is used between a client and an interior design professional to outline a legal contract for services in exchange for payment. An interior designer may provide their services for the entire structure, commercial or residential, or for a specific part of the property such as kitchen, cabinet, or any other area. The interior design retainer agreement, depending on if it’s paying for access or for work, allows the client to obtain services at the time or prior to construction with a signed agreement and successful payment.
