An Oregon independent contractor agreement is a contract that defines the tasks and/or services that a contractor must complete in order to fulfill their obligations and be financially compensated. This document will be drafted by the individual or business (the client) that is hiring the contractor and may include multiple clauses to protect the interests of each. Using a contractor agreement form helps assure that the contractor will complete the work that they have been tasked with and that the client will pay them as agreed.
