An Oregon subcontractor agreement can be used by both contractors and subcontractors to hire workers for a project they’ve been contracted to complete. A subcontractor is defined as any individual who has an agreement with a contractor or another subcontractor to complete all or part of a construction job. The main contractor or subcontractor must be given written authorization by the client to hire subcontractors. Furthermore, the main contractor will be directly responsible for paying and managing anyone that they hire. All subcontractor agreements must have set dates by which the assigned work is required to be finished and the subcontractor paid.
