Texas Independent Contractor Agreement

Updated February 17, 2022

A Texas Independent Contractor Agreement is a contract entered into by two parties, an independent contractor and their client. The document specifies the service to be performed by the contractor, the compensation for the service, and the date by which the project should be completed. Unlike an employee-employer relationship whereby the employer would be able to oversee the manner in which the project is executed, the independent contractor has full control over the completion of the task including the hiring of subcontractors and employees, the purchasing of materials as required, and the amount of time that is dedicated daily to finishing the project.
