An intern is someone who joins an organization for a short time to gain entry-level exposure and experience in a particular field. Some internships are paid, but many are unpaid. Often, an internship counts as college credit. Some internships turn into full-time positions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing clerical tasks;
- Managing correspondence;
- Job shadowing;
- Networking;
- Managing filing systems;
- Attending company functions and events; and
- Any other administrative or research-related tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma;
- Adaptability;
- Excellent time management;
- Strong research skills;
- Initiative; and
- Technical proficiency.
