A Georgia subcontractor agreement is a legally binding document that establishes a business relationship between a contractor and a subcontractor. The benefit of having this type of agreement in writing is that it alleviates the potential for any misunderstandings between the parties. The contractor is able to outline what type of work they are hiring the subcontractor for, how much they are going to pay them, and in what timeframe their tasks must be completed. The subcontractor can also rest easy knowing that they are guaranteed a certain amount of money for their specific skillset (unless they do not perform to the standards of the agreement). Aside from the above-mentioned terms, provisions included in the subcontractor agreement are insurance, resolution of disputes, termination, indemnification, and confidential information, to name a few.
