An Iowa subcontractor agreement is a legal form that is used to outline a business agreement between a contractor and a subcontractor. The terms set forth in the agreement include responsibilities, payment, start and end dates, dispute resolution and indemnification, and confidentiality, among others. The contract benefits the contractor in that they can establish the time frame in which the subcontractor must finish their work. For the subcontractor, they can rest easy knowing they will be paid the amount they are owed for their expertise, as long as they complete the work to the best of their abilities and in a timely manner. Once this document is signed, both parties must adhere to its terms and conditions or risk being taken to court by the injured party.
