Washington D.C. Residential Purchase Agreement

Updated April 18, 2024

A Washington D.C. purchase agreement is a contract made between a buyer and seller for the transfer of real estate ownership. The buyer agrees to buy the property for the sales price and to close within a specific time period. If the sale is contingent on the buyer obtaining financing or an inspection, the seller will have to wait until the buyer concludes their due diligence period. In most cases, a closing occurs within 90 to 120 days.
