Any damage to the property or injury caused by the pet is the sole liability of the tenant.

A pet lease amendment allows a tenant to have a pet on the property. The landlord may limit the pets to certain types (i.e. only small dogs and cats). In addition, a landlord may accept a fee or deposit on the pet. If the fee is refundable, it will be credited against any type of damage on the property caused by the pet.
