A Washington D.C. lease termination letter is used by either a landlord or tenant when announcing the end of a month-to-month lease agreement. The minimum required notice period is thirty (30) days from the next payment period. It’s recommended to send the letter to the mailing address listed in the lease agreement by USPS certified mail with a return receipt. Although, personal delivery with a signature of a resident is suitable.
