A Washington D.C. month-to-month rental agreement is for landlords and tenants that want a short-term lease that can be terminated with thirty (30) days’ notice. Either the landlord or the tenant may terminate the lease by giving written notice to the address of the party listed in the lease agreement. The landlord and tenant will each be protected under the same residential lease laws provided under standard tenancies.

Minimum Termination Period (§ 42–3505.54(a)) – 30 days
