A commercial lease addendum makes a change to the terms of a pre-existing lease agreement. Upon the addendum being signed by both parties, the modification may be any request by the landlord or tenant. Common addendums include extending the lease, changing the rent, rights to repair, or any other terms that need to be amended.

How to Write

Step 1 – Download in Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word (.docx), or Open Document Text (.odt).

Step 2 – Input the following information in the applicable fields:

  • Date of amendment
  • Name of landlord/lessor
  • Name of tenant/lessee
  • Property address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip code
  • Lease start date

Step 3 – Use these empty spaces to specify the amendments made to the commercial lease agreement.

Step 4 – The landlord/lessor must provide their signature in the first signature field and enter the date of signing in the space just below. Repeat this process to record the tenant/lessee’s signature along with the date of signing.
