- Minimum Termination Period โ 7 days’ notice for a month-to-month lease, and 2 days’ notice for a week-to-week lease.[1] However, 30 days is “typically” recommended as a minimum termination period.[2]
- Increasing Rent โ North Carolina does not place limits on rent increases. A landlord can increase rent by providing the required notice to terminate or renew the lease at the new rate.
