An Iowa voter registration form can be used to register to vote in the State of Iowa. Alternatively, registering to vote can be accomplished through the Iowa Secretary of State’s website. The online registration process requires that registrants have a valid Iowa driver’s license. An individual wishing to vote in Iowa must be a State resident and must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Registration forms must be submitted in person or by mail to the County Commissioner of Elections Office at least eleven (11) days before an election. For general elections, the submission deadline is ten (10) days prior to the election day.

Voter ID (§ 49.78) – Voters must present either a valid driver’s license, an Iowa nonoperator’s ID card, A U.S. passport, a military or veteran’s ID card, a tribal ID card, or other tribal enrollment documents.
