A Missouri property management agreement allows property owners to appoint a property manager to maintain and rent out a property on their behalf. The manager must keep the rental units filled and well maintained in exchange for a commission on the income generated from rent (often in addition to service fees). The manager is also responsible for repairs, renovations, and posting notices when necessary.
Laws
Requirements – It is illegal for a property manager to operate in the State without a license from the real estate commission if they are not the property owner or an employee thereof.[1][2]
