Nevada Security Deposit Demand Letter

A Nevada security deposit demand letter is sent by a tenant to a landlord who has neglected to refund a security deposit. If the tenant has any unpaid rent or has caused considerable damage to the rental unit, the landlord may deduct an appropriate portion of the deposit to remedy the issues.

Laws

The landlord must return the security deposit within 30 days after the tenancy is terminated. If the deposit is not returned in 30 days, the tenant can pursue legal proceedings to recover the initial balance plus any additional amount not exceeding the total deposit.[1]
