An Ohio security deposit demand letter is sent to landlords who have failed to repay a tenant’s security deposit within the required thirty (30) days from the date that a lease was terminated. If the landlord is noncompliant, State law permits the tenant to recover the full amount due plus any applicable attorney fees. The tenant must provide the landlord with a mailing address to send the deposit to, otherwise, they will not be entitled to demand payment.
