A Nebraska independent contractor agreement can be used by a client to draft a written contract for an individual or business they hired to complete a project or provide a service. An independent contractor must operate independently outside of the client’s normal business activity; otherwise, the State considers them an employee and the “client” (employer) must treat them as such. The agreement form will include a description of the tasks/service that the contractor must perform, the amount and schedule of payment, and a due date by which the project must be completed.
