A Utah Independent Contractor Agreement defines in clear terms the conditions of an exchange of services for financial compensation between an independent contractor and a client. The contract enables both parties to agree upon and decisively sign off on a price for the service provided, as well as a due date for its completion. Unlike an employee-employer relationship, the contractor has complete control of the operations including hiring outside help and establishing a schedule. The agreement also describes the independent status of the contractor, detailing both the contractor and the client’s rights in the transaction.
