A cleaning subcontractor agreement is between an employer and a (“subcontractor”) that provides cleaning services for payment. The agreement should outline how the subcontractor will be paid (per job or $/hour), uniform requirements, and who is responsible for providing the cleaning supplies and equipment.
Residential Cleaning
This is more a personal relationship that is made with the owner or individual(s) residing on the property. Any person hiring a cleaner will have trust be at the forefront of any decision before hiring. Therefore, it can be difficult to hire a company that uses subcontractors to clean a residence due to the constant change in individuals that do the actual cleaning.
Commercial Cleaning
The use of subcontractors in commercial cleaning is more prominent due to the nature of the business. This type of subcontractor is may be used for a wide range of duties such as cleaning office space to power washing the exterior of a building. In most cases, a property manager will use the services of a cleaning subcontractor to assist in the upkeep of the property. The subcontractor may be used on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis at the election of the hiring party.
