The Massachusetts notary acknowledgment form is a document which must be attached to a legal instrument that requires a notary acknowledgment. The notary acts as a witness to the signature of the document in order to certify that the signer has signed of their own free will and not under any duress. Once the notary confirms the signer’s identity, they will notarize the document by providing their signature and seal on the notary acknowledgment form.

How to Notarize in Massachusetts

Step 1 – Find a notary public near you. You should be able to find a notary at one (1) of the following locations:

Step 2 – Once you have found a notary public, make an arrangement to meet them and present yourself at the appointed time.

Step 3 – Identify yourself and show the notary your photo ID.

Step 4 – Sign the document in the notary’s presence if it has not been signed already.

Step 5 – The notary will fill out, sign, and provide their seal on the notary acknowledgment form.

Verify a Notary in Massachusetts
