A New Mexico notary acknowledgment form enables a public notary to verify a signature, as well as the signer’s identity and intention to sign. When obtaining a notary acknowledgment, the signer is not required to sign their document in the presence of the notary. They will, however, have to bring an ID that bears their signature, so that the notary can compare their two signatures.
